How I changed the camera to be shutter priority, right at the top of the camera their is a nozzle where it has different features, I turned the nozzle where it said MASP, on the "S" that stands for shutter priority. When the shutter speed changes low as in 1/3 per second it captures the image slowy making the image blur quite a bit. I would use shutter speed because it will make it easier to take a photo while someone or something is moving. In a situation like that I would use it in a sports event.

CyanotypeThe first cyanotype was intoduced by John Herschel in 1842. The chemicals used for a cyanotype are potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate (green) are mixed with water sperately. The two solutions are the blended together in equal parts. How I created my cyanotype: 1. I chose what items I was going to use (flowers, letters, and quotes). 2. I placed them on the piece of paper with the chemicals already on them. 3. I placed the paper and flowers under a fiberglass 4. I put the whole thing outside in the sun then wait 6 minutes. 5. Pick up the project, take it inside, and place the photo in the water with the mixed chemicals. 6. Take it out and let it dry, and now I'm done. DaguerreotypeThe inventor of the daguerrotype is Louis Daguerre and he discovered it in 1839. The process to create the photo is to start with a sliver-plated copper plate. That is buffed and polished until it looks like a mirror. Then the plate is sensitized to light over iodine and bromine in a specialized light-proof boxes. A daguerrotype is an old fashion photo on a sliver plated copper plate.
My "perfect" worldI had this boyfriend name Johnny, we always hangout and have the best time of our lives. He would always bring me roses and tell me how beautiful i was. He was the one the one and only. I will never stop loving him. Until one day a new girl came between us... Karen...She was the girl that got everything she wanted...and I knew she wanted Johnny. The way she looked at him and how she laughed when he said a joke. It was so fake just like her. I bet this is her plan to take him away from me. Jealousy at its finestFrom that day Johnny hasn't been spending that much time with me. Which made me jealous and furious because he was hanging out with Karen. I guess her looks did capture his eye and her plan. I will know everythingI started to become curious and wanted to know everything about her. So i started following her to everywhere she went. Like the store, mall, school, e.t.c. I took notes on her this might seem a little crazy for me or to others but they don't know how much Johnny means to me. The BreakdownIn just a couple of weeks Johnny is dating her! That triggered me into a rage into hating her with all my guts i noticed that i had to get Johnny back but I couldn't have him because he was taken. Taken away from me by this girl. The one that got awayI knew that he was gone for good with little miss perfect. From this day on I had this empty feeling that something was gone which i knew what it was. It was Johnny the boyfriend i could have ever had. He was the one that got away.
What I saw between these three photos were that they are all different in its ways. The first one was mainly focused on the front box which blurred out the back two. The second photo was still focused on the first one but the depth of field was wider so that made the middle box to be slightly focused too, third photo the depth of field was even more wider because of aperture F/16. Basically the smaller the aperture is the wider the depth of field is.
Here are some portraits of myself taken by my friend Niko on Tuesday during class. This was my first time actually getting involved with an amazing camera, plus the cameras were never used before and we were the first ones to use them because they were new, so that was a great experience.

Camera Obscura was the first step towards the development of photography. How it works is basically an image from the outside view is being projected through a small hole on paper, placed all over a window of some sort or as the image above is showing...that you can use a box, placing a hole on whatever side that fits the best for the view. To have the image appear on the wall the outside must be a sunny day or else it might not work as well. When you have that sunny day the image from the outside will be projected on the wall but it come out upside down.
This photo took a while to come together. I used three apps which were VSCO, Pixlr, and Prisma. At first I was trying to find a perfect photo that represents me, which I eventually found. The original filter was black and white to make it mysterious, then I added an overlay from Pixlr, it kinda looks like and “x”. Oh! I also used layout to mirror my images together. So far I had a black and white photo with an “x”, but today I heard about prisma which I used to get that pastel/Picasso type of texture. It gave it an extra pop to the image.
I took this photo in my room, it's just a place I like to take pictures because it has good lighting. This photo relates to me because I basically live in room most of the time, just to be by myself and enjoy the freedom I have there. Another thing is that how my hair is to one side that symbolizes that many people are blind to see the other half of me. This photo says quite much about me, just how the colors pop out so vibrant that's me with my personality. I’m really into indie and vintage. Indie kinda took over most of this photo. It's mostly about that music that I listen too. |
